Privacy policy
Redoubt Vault is a trade name of Northline Standard LLC. This page covers redoubtvault.com, the app at app.redoubtvault.com, and our own email and text lists. Questions: hello@redoubtvault.com.
Effective 24 September 2026.
What we collect, and why
If you sign up for our email list. Your email address, when you asked, when you confirmed, and the exact words you agreed to. We keep that record because proving opt-in is what our product does, and we hold our own list to the same standard.
If you sign up for texts. Your mobile number, when you asked, when you replied YES, and the exact words you agreed to. We use your number only to send what you signed up for: product news, at most 4 texts a month. If you reply STOP, we stop, and we keep a record that you asked. We only text you again if you sign up again and confirm.
If you use the contact form. Your email address, the company you name, and your message. We use them to answer you.
If you create an account. Your email address, so we can send your sign-in link. We also keep your account's settings, its API keys (stored only as a one-way hash), and billing status. Card details go straight to our payment processor and never reach us.
When you browse the site or the app. We use an analytics service to count page visits and clicks. It sets no cookies, keeps its data in your browser only until you close the tab, and does not record your session. Once you sign in, it knows your account's ID, not your email address.
Cookies. The app sets only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers your time zone, and two short-lived ones used while a new API key is shown or a checkout is in progress. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Server logs. Our servers log which pages and API operations were requested, and keep those logs for 30 days to find and fix problems. We do not record your IP address.
Text messaging
- We do not share your number or your opt-in. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
- How to stop or get help. Reply STOP to any text to stop them. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@redoubtvault.com.
- What it costs you. Message and data rates may apply.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of outside services to run Redoubt Vault. Each receives only what it needs for its job:
- Hosting and storage: where the site, the app and our records run and are kept.
- Email delivery: sending our email.
- Text messaging: sending and receiving our texts.
- Payment processing: taking payment. Card details go straight to the processor.
- An analytics service: counting page visits and clicks, as described above.
- Our own email: the mailbox that receives your message if you email us.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Records we hold for our customers
Businesses use Redoubt Vault to keep a record of consent from the people they email or text. If you are one of those people, we hold that record on the business's behalf and follow its instructions. For access or deletion, contact that business. If you are not sure which business it is, email us and we will point you to them.
How long we keep things
- Consent records and STOP records: kept as long as they are needed as evidence of permission or of a request to stop. That is the point of keeping them.
- Contact form messages and account details: kept while they are needed to answer you or run your account.
- Server logs: deleted after 30 days.
Your choices
- Stop any time: use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or reply STOP to a text.
- See or delete what we hold: email hello@redoubtvault.com. When we erase you from our records, the record that permission was given and later withdrawn stays in place, but with no email address or number attached, so nobody can say whose it was.
Children
Redoubt Vault is a business service. It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
